Shout outs to Sunburst’s newest Share Your Shutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters highlights a few spots in her home decked out with beautiful new Polywood interior plantation shutters that beautifully complement both her ornate window frames and modern decor.

Neutral Living Area With Shutters

Chelsey, who goes by Taste of Coffey on Instagram, is a Boston-based home designer who definitely has a unique eye for matching colors in her decorating. A quick look at her home shows how she combines both neutral and brighter tones for a look that’s welcoming and comfortable, but extremely stylish at the same time.

Chelsey even has a few pieces of advice for designers in Boston and beyond:

  • Always have a color scheme in mind. When you design a room, you can always play with color to accessorize it. Try to utilize colors either from your interior color pallet or ones that can accentuate it.

  • Be flexible in your use of colors. We use white shutters and most of our furniture includes shades of gray, either fabric or weathered wood. So we decided to mix in pops of color and white accents.

Not only does Chelsey pick some fantastic color combos, but the use of space in her home is great as well. From the placement of her chairs that guide the eyes right up to the wall and her plantation shutters, to the evenly-spaced accessories in her shelving, Chelsey’s space is modern, practical, and very cozy without ever coming close to feeling cluttered.

As our #ShareYourShutters winner this season, Chelsey will receive a gift card to a great restaurant in Boston, in addition to featuring her designs here. To see her entire body of work, take a look at her design site at

And if you think the shutters in your home look beautiful enough to be our next winner, post a photo of them online with the hashtag #ShareYourShutters. We want to see another Boston house featured here!
